I suppose it's about time I start posting again :) I just got back from a much-needed three-week vacation in Indonesia. Three weeks sound so much longer than it actually is, especially if you have to divide it between Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Puncak! But it was sure nice to be home and catch up with my highschool friends. I don't know what people are saying about how much people change in college, cause my friends and I, we're pretty much the same noisy, playful group of people. And boy, am I glad to find that! I think the only thing that has changed a bit are weight and haircut, hahaha, I can live with that.
Well, my apartment is officially a mess with my suitcase and extra large backpack remain unpacked for the past five days. Instead of properly unpacking them, I have been so lazy that I only got out the stuff that I need and that resulted in having everything all over the place. I got a pile of mails that need to be opened, not to mention the dirty laundry. Phew... I definitely need to start getting them sorted out.
I hope I'll finish all these chores and errands so that I can finally post the pictures online :)
In the meantime, I'll share one of Astrid's song from her debut album, titled « Kosong ». I could just spend the three weeks scouring record shops all around the country for new artists.... the number of new artists in the Indonesian music industry is just mind-boggling. To add to that, the number of genres they are all in is just equally impressive! I guess the record companies start to see the potential in our artists instead of just packaging the tried-and-true instant pop stars.
